Why I Created This
She knew exactly what she wanted. Getting there was the hard part.
Earlier this year, I photographed a woman in her eighties. She had wanted a proper portrait for a long time, but she didn’t know where to go. The prices she found felt out of reach, and the whole process assumed you were tech-savvy enough to navigate it on your own.
When I delivered her gallery online, I realized another barrier I had not thought of: she couldn’t easily download her photos. She didn’t want a link. She wanted something she could hold.
Portraits in Time exists because no one should have to figure all of this out on their own. It should be easy, patient, and delivered in a way that actually works for the people being photographed.
About the photographer
Hi! I'm Stephanie.
I'm an Asian American event and portrait photographer based in the Los Angeles area, and I've spent much of my career working with the older community — including ongoing work with the Happy 50 Plus Foundation.
I know this community. I grew up in it. My job is to create a space where you can simply be yourself — and from that, portraits that actually look like you. Not over-edited. Not a performance. Just you.
I come to you, we take the time to get comfortable together, and the portrait finds itself from there.

Here’s exactly what to expect, from the moment you reach out to the day your portraits arrive.
STEP 01
Fill out a short inquiry
Just a few questions — your name, what occasion brought you here, and the best way to reach you. Takes about two minutes. I’ll follow up personally within 48 hours.
STEP 02
A planning call — 15 to 20 minutes
We’ll choose outfits together, identify the best light in your home, and answer any questions. By the end, you’ll know exactly what to expect and feel ready.
STEP 03
Your session — one hour at home
I arrive with everything I need. The session is relaxed and unhurried — no posing experience required. I guide gently throughout, and we complete one outfit change at your own pace.
STEP 04
Your portraits arrive within two weeks
Your 12 edited portraits arrive via private gallery within two weeks. From there, you choose three favorites — one for the 8x10, one for the 5x7 — and I handle the rest. Your prints are mailed directly to your door.
